Visiting the Dojo
Houston Aikikai is currently open at our new location in stand alone unit #300 inside 34th Street Business Park. The space is air conditioned. Our mat area is 20'x30', 600 sq. ft. (~33 tatami). We arrive about 15 minutes before listed times so we can sweep the mat and dress out.
Shoes are to be taken off just inside the door. A dojo member will direct where to sit or dress out.
Permission to practice is up to the instructors. Once given approval to practice you must sign a liability waiver.
For visiting aikidoka, there is a $35 mat fee per class or $150 for the month.

Safety is our first concern.
All members and visitors must follow our Safety Rules.
We begin class with stretching and warm up drills.
Water breaks will be taken as needed.
Students will never be asked to attempt techniques beyond their ability.
We practice sincerely and have fun.
