Aikido for Kids

$75 per month 

Houston Aikikai offers Aikido instruction for children ages 6 years old and up (5 years old admitted case by case). A parent or guardian must be present. Classes run from 40 to 60 minutes long.

Classes will focus on 3 main areas of Aikido

Body Movement & Falling

The main concern in self defense is protecting the body. Every class will incorporate games & drills that teach the body how to evade trouble and to fall without injury.

Etiquette

Children will learn the importance of kindness, respect, and intent by learning and practicing the etiquette of the Aikido tradition.

Beginner Techniques

Beginners will learn Aikido's basic techniques one small piece at a time, building up a strong foundation for advanced techniques and body movements.

  • Kosadori Ikkyo Omote
